Accountability

SHE Management System Implementation & Compliance

  1. Implement and maintain Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OH&S/E) policies, procedures, and action plans to ensure full compliance with legal requirements, corporate standards, and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 systems.

Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement

  1. Develop, coordinate, and monitor the annual SHE plan and improvement programs aligned with business objectives, ensuring effective execution and continuous improvement in safety performance and environmental management.

Governance & Safety Committee Management

  1. Facilitate and coordinate monthly Safety Committee meetings, ensuring effective participation, tracking of action items, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Incident Investigation & Prevention

  1. Lead investigations of accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents using root cause analysis methodologies; ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.

Contractor Safety & Permit-to-Work Control

  1. Lead contractor safety management programs, including onboarding, monitoring, and enforcement of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems to ensure safe execution of all high-risk activities.

Risk & Impact Management

  1. Review and ensure effectiveness of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Environmental Aspect & Impact Assessment (EIA); coordinate with relevant stakeholders to implement and sustain effective risk control measures.

Training, Awareness & Safety Culture Development

  1. Deliver SHE induction training for new employees, contractors, and suppliers, and ensure regular refresher training to maintain compliance and competency.
  2. Organize and promote SHE training programs, campaigns, and initiatives to enhance employee awareness, competency, and engagement toward a proactive “zero harm” safety culture.

Audit & Assurance

  1. Plan and lead internal SHE audits (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and Foqus SHE), ensuring compliance, identifying gaps, and driving closure of non-conformities and improvement actions.

 

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  1. Monitor, analyze, and report SHE performance indicators (KPIs) to management and relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and timely communication.

Regulatory & Compliance Management

  1. Monitor, interpret, and update applicable local Safety, Occupational health and Environmental laws, regulations, and global SHE standards; ensure timely implementation and compliance across all operations.

SHE System Integration with Operations

  1. Support and sustain SHE management systems to ensure alignment with OWOW and operational processes and product safety/quality requirements.

Regulatory Permits & Statutory Reporting Compliance

  1. Ensure all required SHE-related permits, licenses, and registrations (e.g., environmental permits, hazardous substance licenses, emission permits, waste disposal approvals, factory licenses) are obtained, renewed, and maintained in compliance with applicable laws and regulations within required timelines.

Stakeholder Coordination & Support

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Engineering, HR, QA, Contractors) to ensure effective SHE implementation and integration into daily operations.

Ad-hoc & Assigned Responsibilities

  1. Perform additional SHE-related tasks and projects assigned by management to support organizational goals and compliance requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

• Certified Safety Officer (e.g., Professional Level as required by local regulations).

• Additional certifications are an advantage (e.g., Registered Hazardous Substance Specialist, Internal auditor ISO14001 & ISO45001 etc.).

• Experience: At least 3-5 years’ experience in safety & environment in manufacturing environment.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of SHE regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.

• Knowledge of chemical safety, waste management, and environmental control systems.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and SHE-related digital systems.

• Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels to build a proactive safety culture.

• High sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and integrity.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and training facilitation skills.

• Good command of English for reporting and communication.

• Visualization tool such as Power BI, Automate, Canva will be advantage.
