Communication Manager

In this role, you'll bridge the gap between complex research and clear, engaging narratives, ensuring that our R&D themes engage resonate with diverse audiences both internally and externally.
We’re currently aligning our organization with our business and supply chain's strategic focus. Key themes include fostering collaboration between R&D and Business Groups, building impactful knowledge, and emphasizing efficiency and synergy. You'll translate these themes into inspiring and informative communication, internally and externally.
Elvárásaink
- A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with more than 6 years of experience.
You are fluent in Dutch and English (spoken as well as written).
- Experience working with senior stakeholders, and communication output relevant for a community of 500 employees globally in R&D.
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and coordination with various teams.
- Capability to develop and implement communication strategies that align with organisational goals and enhance messaging impact.
- Innovative thinking to develop compelling messaging and campaigns that capture audience attention and drive engagement.
- Strong ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with diverse (often senior) stakeholders.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and social media platforms, understanding how to leverage them for audience engagement and brand visibility.
- Skills in gathering and analyzing data to inform communication strategies and measure their effectiveness.
- Ability to produce clear, concise, and engaging content for various platforms.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations and communicate effectively under pressure.
- Understanding of diverse cultures and perspectives, enabling effective communication across various demographics and regions.
- Flexibility to adjust strategies and approaches in response to changing circumstances or feedback, ensuring ongoing relevance and effectiveness.

- Develop and execute an inspiring internal and external communications strategy for our R&D organization. This includes developing key messages, selecting the right communication channels, and implementing effective tactics.
- Create and deliver compelling content for both internal and external audiences. This includes crafting email updates, newsletters, intranet articles, videos, and presentations.
- Work with key organisational stakeholders at senior level and in close cooperation with the Corporate Communications department to ensure all internal / external communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company’s and R&D’s goals and values.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of our communication efforts. Analyze feedback and data to make informed recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure that all internal /external communications are timely, relevant and impactful.
- Identify opportunities to enhance employee engagement and help foster a positive company culture together with our HR team.
- Support crisis communications by ensuring all employees are well-informed and up-to-date during critical times.
- Coordinate internal and external business events and other initiatives to boost employee engagement and strengthen our company culture.
