You are a performance-driven leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on operational understanding. You challenge assumptions, create clarity, and ensure that improvements turn into results. You influence without authority and bring people along - from plant managers to finance teams to supply chain leadership.
Your profile includes:
- minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations roles, preferably in processing environments;
- a proven track record in operational excellence, cost reduction programs, or large-scale transformation;
- strong financial acumen: you understand manufacturing economics, cost models, ROI logic, and business case development;
- expertise with OpEx methodologies (OEE, loss analysis, Lean, continuous improvement, cost tracking tools);
- excellent stakeholder management across matrixed organizations, with the ability to drive alignment and commitment;
- fluency in Dutch and English;
- experience in roles such as operations/production manager, supply chain manager, plant controller, OpEx lead, or continuous improvement manager.

As performance manager business group ingredients, you own the Performance+ agenda across our five production sites. You lead, track, and drive a portfolio of improvement initiatives that strengthen financial and operational performance.
Your key responsibilities:
Performance Governance & Transparency
- implement robust tracking and dashboards that link activities to financial impact;
- ensure accountability against plan, targets, and savings;
- provide insights that drive decision-making.
Standard-Setting & Roadmap Development
- define Ingredients OpEx best practices;
- develop clear, ambitious improvement roadmaps;
- support sites in translating targets into actionable pathways.
Process Control Excellence
- partner with technical experts to elevate process control maturity;
- identify process gaps and deploy best-practice improvements;
- strengthen quality, efficiency, and reliability across all production sites.
Program Leadership
- orchestrate collaboration between SC Director, plant leaders, OpEx leads, and finance;
- ensure momentum, remove roadblocks, and align priorities;
- coordinate a structured program approach across sites, escalating when needed.
Value Identification & Business Case Development
- analyze performance data to identify opportunities;
- build credible business cases backed by operational and financial insight;
- shape initiatives that deliver real and lasting impact.
Execution & Financial Translation
- ensure execution excellence and timely delivery of critical initiatives;
- translate operational improvements into financial outcomes that resonate with leadership.
Culture & Mindset
- promote FrieslandCampina's OpEx framework;
- build capability and drive a performance culture across sites;
- foster continuous improvement that endures.
You will report to the Director Innovation & Programs and work closely with the Ingredients Supply Chain leadership team.
Business Group Ingredients develops high-value nutrition solutions used worldwide across all life stages. Our portfolio includes Early Life Nutrition (ELN) - ingredients for infant formulas, and Adult Nutrition (AN) - performance nutrition, active nutrition, and medical nutrition. We operate in a B2B environment, supplying ingredients and semi-finished products that are further manufactured by customers into consumer goods.
You'll be based at our headquarters in Amersfoort, working with multidisciplinary teams to make a real difference in the lives of millions of people by providing the very best nutrition. Your work extends across five production sites: Veghel, Borculo, Bedum, Workum, and Delhi (NY, USA).
