Global S&OP Planner

FrieslandCampina operates an extremely complex network of 10 interconnected supply chains with a global customer and consumer base. The network consists of 20 FrieslandCampina factories and 20 external processors. Each of these factories processes milk, cream and/or whey, and produces finished products and semi-finished products which is transported to another factory.
We are looking for an experienced Global S&OP Planner for the department ’Global S&OP Planning’ in Amersfoort within the Operating Company Global Plan. This Operation Company is part of de Business Group Global Supply Chain, and it has a global role working very closely with the other Business Groups.
Global S&OP Planning ensures the valorization of all milk streams within FrieslandCampina to maximize the return to our member farmers. For this purpose, we develop decision support models and forecasting models. The Global S&OP Planning department is responsible for the planning of the ~9.5 billion kg of milk from the farmers to our factories and between our factories on an operational (bi-weekly, 13 weeks horizon), and tactical (monthly, 18 months horizon) level. It aims to maximize the integral valorization of milk across the businesses of FrieslandCampina while ensuring 24/7 milk processing.

In order to be successful in this position, we expect you to have the following qualifications:
- 2 - 4 years of relevant quantitative experience in a comparable position or a consultancy firm;
- Master’s degree, preferably Econometrics, Industrial Engineering or another quantitative Master studies;
- Good understanding of the refinery of all milk streams within RFC;
- Fluent Dutch and English;
- Proactive & effective influencing with communication skills to engage in complex business decision making with Top 200 and Top 70 leaders within RFC;
- Experience in modelling or with a modelling theoretical background;
- Highly analytical and good commercial/business acumen;
- Analytical, self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.

Every month, you will be responsible for running and maintaining our 18 months S&OP plan with the objective to optimize the value of our milk across all Business Groups. The Global S&OP team is responsible for 3 S&OP plans: the Global S&OP involving the total milk pool of FrieslandCampina and 2 S&OP involved in planning the special milk streams On the Way to Planet Proof & Organic milk.
You will monthly prepare the S&OP plan and S&OP meetings by a high level of interaction with the Customer Supply Chain teams, the Supply Planning teams and Operating Companies across the company. Next to preparing and executing the S&OP processes, you will maintain our planning models and take responsibility for their continuous improvement. You will work on projects that will be key to improve our processes and the final decision making.
You are used to working with advanced planning systems and proactive in initiating and realizing improvements. You are able to drive decision making by strong analysis, clear thinking and stakeholder management.
