Global Manager RTR General Accounting
The Global Manager RTR General Accounting will lead and optimize the end-to-end Record to Report (RtR) activities globally, in line with strategy, policy and guidelines in such a way that the operational and tactical RtR processes run efficiently and effectively meeting the agreed service levels ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
Organize and manage the department effectively and continuously optimize to improve quality with less costs. Being responsible for meeting KPIs, Continuous Improvement (CI) targets, providing leadership, people management and coaching to the team Leaders and team members.
Was wir erwarten
- Higher vocational education or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance
- Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting is an advantage
- IFRS or Chartered accountant certificate is an advantage
- 10+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Tax or a GBDS environment within an international and multicultural environment.
- At least 5+ years of leadership experience with people management in a managerial position (4-6 direct reports and 30+ indirect reports).
- Excellent and comprehensive E2E RtR process knowledge
- Excellent tax knowledge
- Strong accounting knowledge
- Strong communication, problem-solving, influencing and interpersonal skills
- Strong people & stakeholder management in a multicultural environment
- Digital & automation literacy: knowledge of RtR and office applications

Stellenbeschreibung
Strategy development & implementation:
Contribute to the development of the RtR strategy and take responsibility to implement the RtR strategy. Contribute to the development of the GBDS strategy and policies.
RtR process scope:
Lead end-to-end Record-to-Report (RtR) operations, driving daily execution, prioritization, and performance management in line with SLAs, KPIs, and stakeholder expectations. Oversee General Accounting activities for entities transitioned to GBDS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage global execution of fixed assets, leases, payroll, journals, intercompany accounting, and month-end close
- Oversee intercompany billing, reconciliation, and reporting
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and management/audit reports
- Monitor performance, handle business queries, and resolve escalations
- Act as ICF control owner for assets, labour, journals, and intercompany processes
- Implement and standardize country-specific RtR processes globally in compliance with IFRS and Sherpa guidelines
Networking: Build and maintain a network of relevant (internal and external) stakeholders/partners. Host StP Calls with Opco’s.
Knowledge development: Ensure knowledge & information level of the E2E RtR teams is kept up-to-date. Monitor internal and external developments and share relevant information.
Performance management: Drive leading performance mindset in teams with a focus on continuous improvement to drive efficiency and maintain service level within the team.
Compliance: Responsible for leading compliant operation, implementation and execution of Internal Control Framework and Segregation of Duties. Work with the Reporting & Accounting team on internal and external audit.
Scope sweeps: Implement scope sweeps towards 100% RtR coverage and process standardization.
Budget:
- Translate the overall FrieslandCampina/Finance strategy and RtR input into a year plan/budget for the RtR team as part of the GBDS organsiation and acquire approval.
- Ensure implementation and assessment of the financial (year) plan/budget for the department that is aligned and approved by GBDS LT.
Reporting and Management information:
- Provide insights at request or at own initiative regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical and ad hoc reports and/or analyses, based on reporting principles.
- Ensure monthly KPI/OPI reports are produced (MBR), according to defined formats, procedures and legislation. Safeguard accurate and timely reports towards key stakeholders on key performance indicators.
People management:
Lead, coach, develop and appraise team leaders and team members. Lead all HR initiatives (hiring, performance appraisal, development, communication etc.). Implement a robust back-up and knowledge retention plan. Ensuring adequate people management for direct reports (continuous dialogues and 1:1s, talent development, maintaining high engagement) and succession planning.
Policy & Controls ownership:
Co-owns the RtR policies and procedures. Adheres to the standard operating procedures (SOP) associated to RtR and improves SOPs where necessary or relevant. Owns the ICF controls associated to RtR.
