Raw Material Specification Specialist- Preferred Candidate (Temporary contract of 4 months)
Within FrieslandCampina Innovation the Raw material specification management team is responsible for high quality specifications of all raw materials used in the total portfolio of Specialized Nutrition (from newborns to moms). For this vulnerable group, attention to detail is key.
You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating raw material specifications for our Business-to-Consumer (Friso brand) and Business-to-Business (FrieslandCampina Ingredients) products. In addition, you will oversee the qualification and validation of raw materials, ensuring they meet the highest quality and regulatory standards.

Was wir erwarten
- Experience on Food safety, HACCP, QCP, microbiology.
- Experience with SAP PLM is a requirement.
- Excellent knowledge of materials for food application.
- MSc degree in Food Technology or equivalent area.
- At least 3-5 relevant years’ experience with Specification management, product development or Quality Assurance (QA), preferably in infant nutrition area.
- Entrepreneurial and open attitude, analytical, quality focus, customer focused and work well both independently and within a team.

Stellenbeschreibung
Specification Management
Independently develop, maintain, and update raw material specifications for both B2C (Friso) and B2B (FC Ingredients) products.
Ensure optimal implementation of specifications in SAP PLM, safeguarding accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
Process & System Improvement
Identify improvement opportunities in specification processes, tools, and ways of working, and implement them in alignment with cross‑functional teams.
Contribute to the standardization and harmonization of specification templates and workflows.
Project Contribution & Leadership
Participate in medium‑complexity projects (e.g., raw material qualifications, process or system updates).
Lead small, well‑defined projects independently, ensuring timely delivery of specification‑related outputs.
Stakeholder & Supplier Collaboration
Act as the key contact for day‑to‑day tactical interactions with suppliers, manufacturing sites, QA, RA, Procurement, SQM, and other internal stakeholders.
Align with suppliers on specification details, documentation, and compliance requirements.
Support to Innovation & Changes
Act as the raw material expert in New Product Development (NPD) and change projects by providing technical input and ensuring specifications meet functional, regulatory, and quality requirements.
Autonomy & Guidance
Work under general supervision but with a high degree of autonomy in daily tasks.
Support junior colleagues by sharing knowledge, reviewing work, and guiding them on specification processes.

As a Specification Specialist, you will be part of the IFT Development Team based in Wageningen, The Netherlands, a dynamic group of approximately 60 professionals.
This department reports directly to the Business Group Specialized Nutrition and maintains strong connections with the Corporate R&D department.
In addition to collaborating with your immediate team, you will work closely with colleagues from various disciplines across FrieslandCampina worldwide, including Procurement, Supplier Quality Management (SQM), Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs.
