Business Development Manager Private Label

We are looking for an experienced and passionate commercial leader to join our team as Private Label Business Development Manager.  This role is focused on driving growth through market analysis, opportunity identification, and strategic planning of big bets for our European Private Label business.  Customer Intimacy and thinking in strategic partnerships is key to the success in this role.

The ideal candidate will possess a keen business acumen, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to develop actionable strategies that capitalize on market opportunities.  It requires a proactive and results-driven individual with a can-do attitude, a deep understanding of private label business models and a proven track record of driving business growth.

Next to this we are looking for someone with: 

  • A Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Business or Commercial Economics;
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in strategic (new) business development in FMCG;
  • Proven experience in creating and deploying private label portfolio strategies in FMCG (ideally food products.

Stellenbeschreibung

  • Own customer and competitive intel to drive the strategy and plan.
  • Develop top 10 customer strategy and the corresponding portfolio and innovation.
  • Align USP’s and utilization to customer strategy.
  • Guide the local sales organization and participate as expert in customer meetings.
  • Lead overarching business development projects.
  • Create liaison to Hard Discount Hub and Cockpit.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify and evaluate potential opportunities for private label partnerships, including new product categories and market segments. 
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to capitalize on identified opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Partnership Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop compelling value propositions and offerings for prospective private label partners.
  • Industry Networking: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, industry influencers, and potential partners to stay informed about market developments and emerging opportunities.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust pipeline of potential private label opportunities, tracking progress and prioritizing initiatives based on strategic objectives.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and modeling to assess the feasibility and profitability of potential private label partnerships, including pricing strategies and revenue projections.
