Distribution Specialist
This role is responsible for overseeing daily logistics activities, including transportation and distribution operations. Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods while maintaining high service levels. Lead and coordinate the logistics team, monitor performance, resolve operational issues, and drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes.

Qualification:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree preferably in business administration BBA/MBA
Experience:
- 6-7 years of experience in Logistics & distribution preferably with some Reputed FMCG, including 2+ years in supervisory role
Skills:
- Leadership & Team Management: Ability to guide, motivate, and develop the logistics team for optimal performance.
- Operational Planning: Skilled in route planning, load optimization, and scheduling deliveries efficiently.
- Problem Solving: Quick resolution of operational challenges such as delays, stockouts, or equipment breakdowns.
- Communication: Clear coordination with internal departments, transporters, and customers.
- ERP & Systems Knowledge: Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for logistics tracking and reporting.

- Lead and manage day-to-day logistics operations, including transportation and distribution.
- Supervise, train, and develop logistics staff to ensure team performance and growth.
- Plan and monitor delivery schedules to meet customer requirements and service targets.
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with regulations.
- Track and analyze logistics KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, and production teams for smooth supply chain flow.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and legal regulations.
- Handle operational issues such as transport delays, stock discrepancies, or equipment failures effectively.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Support in planning manpower shifts, resource allocation, and workflow balancing.
- Ensure timely data entry and reporting through ERP or Warehouse Management Systems.
- Handle customer complaints related to logistics and initiate corrective actions.
- Prepare and review documentation including delivery notes, invoices, gate passes, and shipment logs.
- Manage vendor relationships and performance for outsourced logistics services.
- Conduct safety briefings, training sessions, and regular toolbox talks for the logistics team.
