For our Global Technical Sales specialist team we are looking for an experienced customer-focused Technical Sales Specialist for Bioactive Proteins with B2B experience and a technical background. You will act as the first point of contact within the organization for and ensure full knowledge sharing. You are well capable of understanding customer needs and translating technical knowledge into clear, customer-relevant solutions. You have an affinity with both commercial and technical aspects and enjoy working in a cross-functional organization with customers and internal teams from e.g. marketing, sales, quality and product development.

Technical Sales Specialist

  • You have proven experience in Technical Sales in a B2B in preferably Early Life Nutrition or eventually Adult Nutrition environment. 
  • ou have built thorough product knowledge on Bioactive Proteins, including basic nutritional and regulatory know-how.
  • You have strong communication skills and are customer-focused, able to act with speed and decisiveness to achieve the best results.
  • You have experience working in cross-functional teams, are a team player, and can also work independently.
  • You have a Master’s degree in Food Technology or a related field, with a minimum of five years of relevant work experience.

In this role you:

  • Act as the primary point of contact within the organization for technical questions on Bioactive Proteins for Early Life Nutrition.
  • Built and have proven experience with picking up of new technical expertise in a timely matter.
  • Take ownership of the Bioactive ingredient portfolio and actively share knowledge across teams.
  • Translate technical knowledge into customer-relevant solutions.
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored technical support and/or translate to marketing.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and effectively communicate complex information.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Business Development, Sales, Marketing , QA and Product Development.
  • Provide input for innovation and marketing strategies based on customer insights.
  • Take ownership of the Bioactive ingredients portfolio and actively capture and share knowledge across teams. Equip and support Technical Sales in our regional offices, marketing and sales to optimally perform their customer-facing activities.
  • Demonstrate learning agility and a proactive mindset in driving customer success.
  • Build and maintain a network with customers, colleagues and external partners.
  • Enjoy connecting with both technical and commercial stakeholders.

This position is part of the Technical Sales Expert team within FrieslandCampina Ingredients, located in Wageningen. The team consists of Technical Sales Specialists (TSS) and Application Development Specialists and is embedded in the Global TSS organization and part of the Global FCI Development organization.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues across our global TSS network, which includes regional teams and application centers worldwide. The environment is dynamic, international, and cross-functional, with strong connections to customers, colleagues of different disciplines and external network.
