#Trainee’s story: Learning fast, making impact

Paragraphs

From graduate to young business leader

Contenu

At just in his early career, Dan Vincent is already leading business transformation on one of the Philippines' key islands, Cebu. As a Global Trainee in the Commercial Track at FrieslandCampina, his story is a testament to how the company accelerates talent development by combining meaningful responsibility with strong mentorship.

Fresh out of university with a degree in Management Engineering, Dan joined FrieslandCampina as his first professional role. While many graduate programs ease trainees into the business, Dan was immediately given the opportunity to make a direct impact. Today, he is based in Cebu, where he roles as a Distributor Manager of Alaska Milk Corporation, subsidiary of FrieslandCampina, partnering closely with distributor to drive growth across the region. His responsibilities range from monitoring sales performance and improving operational execution to developing capabilities and identifying new business opportunities.

For my very first role, I was given the opportunity to lead and influence a large team despite being one of the youngest people in the company. That level of trust motivated me to step up, learn quickly, and continuously improve.

Dan & Sales team

Fast-tracked through development and mentorship

Rather than observing from the sidelines, Dan was entrusted with real business responsibilities from the start. When he started, the distributor was struggling to consistently achieve monthly KPIs. Through close collaboration, disciplined execution, and continuous engagement with the team, the business has since returned to plan and is currently growing by 16% versus the same period last year.

Beyond the business results, the experience has become a significant milestone in Dan's personal growth.

Considering my limited experience and the fact that many of my team members are more experienced than me, I am proud that I have been able to build credibility, contribute value, and confidently lead conversations that help move the business forward.

The experience reflects one of the defining characteristics of FrieslandCampina's Global Traineeship Program: trainees are not observers. They are empowered to take ownership of meaningful responsibilities that directly contribute to business success.

A global community, a wider impact

Contenu

What sets FrieslandCampina's Global Traineeship Program apart is the combination of local impact and global exposure. Trainees complete two 18-month assignments in their home country, while participating in an extensive virtual learning journey with trainees from around the world.
As part of a global trainee community, Dan has the opportunity to learn from peers across different markets, build an international network, and gain perspectives beyond his local role.

For Dan, the experience reflects FrieslandCampina's purpose of Nourishing by Nature: an environment where people are challenged, supported, and empowered to grow into future leaders while making a meaningful impact from day one.
