Cluster Lead PAT Team
The Process Analytical Technology cluster is one of four clusters within the Method & Analytical Development (M&AD) department within Global QC, responsible for the FrieslandCampina method portfolio. As cluster leader of the PAT team you will lead FrieslandCampina through the transition towards in-line and at-line measurements. Your team will play a crucial role in implementation and improvement of spectroscopic techniques in the production processes in close collaboration with the technology and QC departments across more than 50 production locations worldwide. The primary focus of these measurement techniques is infrared spectroscopy, but the scope also includes other techniques such as Raman, microwave, and imaging techniques.

- A Bachelor or Masters degree in Food or Process related technology.
- At minimum of 5 years of experience in a managing function in pharmaceutical, chemical, dairy or food sectors, with expertise in applying and implementing new analytical techniques.
- Outstanding communication and project management skills towards stakeholders at different levels. Acting as an ambassador for the team and its projects.
- Affinity with relevant dairy processes.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Laboratory Quality Systems and international method validation programs (e.g., ISO17025) is a plus.
- Strong planning, organizational, monitoring and project management capabilities.

Vacancy description
As the PAT Cluster Leader, you will oversee a team of seven specialists and analysts focused on developing and implementing analytical methods. Your key responsibilities include:
• Coaching and inspiring your team daily, balancing individual initiative with clear decision-making and respect for workload and business priorities.
• Drive the implementation of at-line and in-line measurements by promoting the possibilities of these techniques and developing strategies with factories, R&D and technology.
• Strategy tracking by establishing and maintaining a clear and transparent dashboard of projects and resources.
• Ensuring processes are up-to-date and fit to the organization, enabling lean operations without limiting self-empowerment.
• Be the linking pin for in-, and at-line methods between factories, R&D, global technology, IT/OT , instrument suppliers and internal laboratory, ensuring projects stay on track and knowledge is up-to-date.
• Supporting FrieslandCampina’ s global QC laboratories and factories with technical as quality related advisory, training and trouble shooting.
• Enforce our QC testing harmonization, standardization and auditing global program as well as contributing to the development of international standards (IDF, ISO, AOAC).
• Participating in method development within national and international standardization bodies.
• Set up Service Level Agreements with suppliers in collaboration with procurement for relevant techniques and support.
• Regular travel within the Netherlands and abroad.
