Warehouse Shift Manager

The Warehouse Shift Manager is responsible for assuring that raw materials are available to the Production Team per the production schedule and that outgoing Finished Product meets a timely delivery to external and internal customers.

 

The warehouse receives, stores and distributes items in compliance with company and customer policies as well as government regulations and that all related paperwork is completed and in compliance.  The Shift Manager will assign work/responsibiliites, ensure employee and department trainings are completed and up to date.

Vacancy description

Core competencies for this role include - 
o    Knowledge of Shipping and Receiving practices, procedures and documents
o    Knowledge of warehouse control, inventory control, and related duties 
o    Fully capable of handling any material needs, solving material problems, and inventory control issues
o    Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office applications
o    Detail orientated with close attention to accuracy
o    Able to analyze information to identify potential problems or discrepancies
o    Communication skills 

 

Functional Duties

•    Receive in all raw materials and confirm the accuracy of the receipts against the original purchase order and packing list
•    Meet Operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results
•    Maintains warehouse staff by coaching, counseling, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
•    Ensures tasks are performed in a safe manner and in accordance with GMPs/SOPs
•    Monitors and verifies performance of equipment and processes
•    Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with data storage system
•    Assist as needed to arrange and manage qualified domestic transporters to undertake all logistics requirements
•    Create policies/procedures and work instructions for warehousing and logistics 
•    Maintain all Warehousing/Logistics documents and file appropriately
•    Create root cause analysis report for inventory discrepancies and other major issues related to warehousing and logistics and perform adjustments if necessary
•    Recommend or work on special projects as needed directed by Site Management


 

 

Team Details

Our location in Delhi, New York (with 100+ employees) focuses on the production of a range of hydrolysates protein for infant & toddler nutrition, adult (performance, lifestyle, healthy aging, and medical), food, beverage, and pharmaceutical. Our manufacturing facility operates within the Business Group Ingredients, we produce ingredients for several different customers both domestically and internationally.
