Project Manager
For our Corporate Centre FrieslandCampina in Amersfoort we are looking for an independent and enthusiastic project manager within the department Cooperative Affairs (CA). Cooperative Affairs is as corporate department the linking pin between the FrieslandCampina company and the cooperative and our member farmers. The project manager will be part of the PMO-CI team. As Project Management Office we focus on project and portfolio management within Cooperative Affairs. As project manager you are an expert and ambassador of the Project and Portfolio Method (PPM) of FrieslandCampina and responsible for the project execution within Cooperative Affairs, reporting to the PPM Manager Cooperative Affairs.
What we ask
- Be able to run complex projects independently, taking care of multiple stakeholders, strong leadership qualities and experience;
- Good interpersonal skills. These skills include providing direction, communicating, assisting with problem solving, and dealing effectively with people in general. Collaborative style and approach, team building experience and expertise;
- At least 8 years of experience as a project manager;
- Adoption of FrieslandCampina project management way-of-working, including the use of proper stage gating, documentation & reporting tools. Affinity with project management methods and software tools, like Principal Toolbox;
- Experience and ability to work in a hybrid project management approach, switch between waterfall and agile project approach;
- Industry certification in Project Management (Prince2, IPMA or comparable level);
- Academic level of thinking;
- Strong analytical and presentation skills and structured way-of-working. Ability to quickly identify project dependencies and manage to mitigate;
- Wide range of interest related to topics important for cooperative affairs, like dairy farming, sustainability, cooperative dialogue, milk quality, ICT, finance;
- An enthusiastic and positive attitude.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.

Vacancy description
As project manager at Cooperative Affairs you are:
- excellent in project management. Define, prepare, lead and execute projects independently within Cooperative Affairs, with other involved FrieslandCampina departments according the FrieslandCampina standards, the PPM method and guidelines, in order to deliver project results according to objective, in full, on time and within budget;
- running projects with different characteristics, like for example sustainability, milk quality, ICT, finance, cooperative driven topics, all related to the primary processes of Cooperative Affairs.
- a problem solver;
- focusing on stakeholder management within the business, the cooperative and sometimes outside FrieslandCampina;
- participating in and supporting the project portfolio process within Cooperative Affairs to realize our CA Big Rocks;
- an ambassador of project management within CA and contributing in PPM capability development; i.e. support colleague project managers within Cooperative Affairs, ensure the good quality of project management by implementing the FrieslandCampina way of working on project management, actively participate in the Community of Practice of Project Managers, Project Start-Ups and evaluations, PPM training, promotion of best practices.

As PMO-CI team we are part of Cooperative Affairs (CA). CA guarantees the continuity of the cooperative by collecting the milk at the requested quality, paying a leading milk price and directing sustainability efforts on the farm. It supports and facilitates the cooperative and more than 10.000 member farm companies in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Cooperative Affairs is in that sense the linking pin between the member farmers, the company FrieslandCampina and the market.
