We have an exciting opportunity as a Manager of Business Procurement in Delhi, New York (USA) for FrieslandCampina Ingredients North America and Food & Beverage Americas.
This role supports the delivery of the business strategies, align local needs with global procurement strategies, ensure supply and unlock value from supplier relationships to achieve the best Procurement Value.
Responsible to manage and develop the local Procurement team and for the execution and orchestration of all procurement activities.

What we ask
- A bachelor's degree Business Administration or similar field;
- Proven experience in Procurement (+10 years), preferably in the food sector;
- Comfortable to work in a complex environment in a matrix organization;
- Leadership experience to coach, influence and motivate team members and hold them accountable;
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills and a commercial mindset;
- Project management and executional capabilities;
- Self-supporting and at the same time team-player in multiple teams;
- Proactive and self-starting, a positive mindset, able to organize and prioritize workload

Vacancy description
Demand Management:
Engage the business to optimize business demand. Translate the overall Procurement strategy and business needs into a Procurement Roadmap for your scope consolidating all Procurement value opportunities.
Value creation
Continuously identify and implement opportunities to lower costs or add value. Support the implementation of Category strategies or local initiatives that deliver value for your scope.
Leadership
Lead and develop a team of 2 Business Procurement Specialists.
Strategic Sourcing
Define sourcing strategy and execute sourcing events and negotiations for locally managed spend.
Project Implementation:
Lead and implement procurement projects like new suppliers, spec changes and continuous improvement projects. Ensure timely planning and execution of the project within the defined timelines.
Supplier Management:
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, manage and improve performance and enable innovation. Lead yearly supplier evaluation cycle with input from stakeholders and follow up with suppliers.
Quality & Risk Management:
Ensure quality and supply. Develop and monitor contingency plans in alignment with Planning, QA and R&D.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain good relationships at both tactical and strategic level and seek approval on strategies, roadmaps and program management activities.
