FrieslandCampina founded its Procurement Shared Service Center supporting EMEA in Budapest in 2018. Our mission is to support the factories of FrieslandCampina in EMEA in sourcing and on time payment of our suppliers in the most effective and efficient manner. Senior Procurement Buyer (SSC)

What we ask

  • University or college degree in Supply Chain or Procurement or Business Administration 

  • 2-3 years of experience in the field of Sourcing, preferably in a multinational company or shared service center 

  • Excellent proficiency in English 

  • Dutch or any additional European language skill is an advantage 

  • Continuous improvement mindset 

  • Excellent coordination, time management and prioritization 

  • Ability to balance operational and strategic tasks

Vacancy description

  • Sourcing of purchase requisitions based on Procurement policy and sourcing guidelines and ICF framework 

  • Negotiates with suppliers on pricing and terms within defined framework agreements. 

  • Processes Indirect Materials & Services purchasing requests in Smartbuy/Ariba/Coupa/SAP PtP system 

  • Supports the resolution of invoice mismatches on price 

  • Changes the Purchase Order if required 

  • Acts as first line of support on PtP systems (Smartbuy/Ariba/Coupa) related questions via phone and e-mail. 

  • Makes sure systems are kept clean and data is consistent 

  • Acts as SPOC for stakeholders 

  • Delivers end user trainings on systems and processes 


  • Acts as coach for Buyers in the team on hard skills for Sourcing  

  • Backs up the team lead in his/her absence. 

  • Ensure proper workload distribution in the team 

  • Acts as first point of escalation for team's scope 

  • Participates in/leads process optimization projects  

  • Implements improvement initiative 

  • Participates in transition projects (system and scope), acting as key user or change owner 

  • Provides support in migration projects to ensure smooth transition of activities to the Procurement Shared Service Centre, including trainings for new joiners and new business requesters. 

  • Contributes to the development of procurement processes for the Sourcing department by providing input to the Team Lead Sourcing. 

  • Identifies bottle necks in (work) processes, provides proposals on improvement opportunities, participate in improvement initiatives and tracks progress
