Technical Sales Specialist (Bakery)

We are seeking a talented technical sales professional to work on challenging and impactful customer projects to win with brands and solutions. The Technical Sales Specialist will be responsible to detect, respond and support new business opportunities through customer interaction, in cooperation with other functional disciplines. This to achieve the ambitious growth strategy of FrieslandCampina Professional in APAC, with a focus on the bakery channel.

Was wir erwarten

•    Combination of content knowhow (product/ingredient/application knowhow) and a great commercial compass (i.e. business savviness, customer centric)
•    Bachelor / Master in relevant discipline, preferable in Food Technology or related field
•    At least 4 years relevant experience in the Bakery segment
•    Good knowledge of ingredients used in these final applications
•    Excellent communications, influencing and presentation skills
•    Result oriented mindset, enjoy problem solving and understanding markets’ and customers’ needs.  
•    Skills to maintain internal and external (customer) relationships
•    Ability to understand and adapt to cultural differences
•    Team player, experienced to work in multidisciplinary teams
•    Affinity to work with different cultures and like to travel

  • Detect and respond to new (technological related) business opportunities as well as sustain current business through customer interaction for the current product portfolio and new innovations / newly launched products.

  • Be the trusted partner of our Bakery customers in APAC. Using this relationship to gain insight in relevant developments at customers. Balance the interest of the customers and the business interest of FrieslandCampina.

  • Truly understand the customer needs, translate the needs to (technical) solutions and craft a compelling value proposition when presenting the possible solution (internal development projects/applications).

  • Provide first line technical support and application knowhow to customers and sales on technical questions.

  • Ensure technical knowledge sharing; building, enrich and maintain knowledge databases, manuals and other relevant media.

  • Give internal and external concept demonstrations and technical trainings, for example during product introductions.

  • Actively scout interesting new trends and concepts within the boundaries of the FrieslandCampina Professional segment strategy, and translate these into new concepts that add value for our customers 

  • Contribute to the development of application-based value propositions, utilize expertise to provide input and advice on product specifications and price setting

  • Cooperate closely with other functional disciplines, like Marketing, Sales and R&D 

  • Act as team player in a Global Technical Sales Team, a Regional FrieslandCampina Professional Team

  • In this position you will be part of the Global Technical Sales Team. Your focus will be the industrial and bakery channel in the Asia Pacific region. The role is based in Singapore and reports directly to the Global Manager Technical Sales FrieslandCampina Professional based in the Netherland.
